"Reboot and select a proper boot device" Error Solutions


All of you must be using Microsoft Windows' Operating System (OS), if not, then Sorry Guys this post isn't for you. The Post is for Microsoft Windows users. Windows have been so much popular that every PC has it. Sometimes we face some errors, sometimes of hardware or software. "Reboot and select a proper boot device" Error is also one of those errors faced by windows users.

Here's a way by which you solve this error. It's a bit longer process, it takes some time but your error will be solved. So let's solve the error. First, let's take the backup of our data as when this error appears the windows doesn't load.

Method #1 :-

Step1. Firstly, restart your PC. As soon as the manufacturer's logo appears, Press the Safe Mode key continuously.

Step2. The Option of Select Windows will come on the screen saying "Safe Mode","Open with Network Mode","Start Windows Normally". Select "Safe Mode" and your windows will be loaded.

Step3. Take Backup of your data.

Note : In most of cases, this Backup way doesn't work. So I'm instruct another way also.

Step4. After taking the Backup, Format your PC and Install a fresh copy of Windows.

Method #2 : Only for those who don't have data in C:/ Drive.

Yes, this method is only for those who don't have data in C:/ Drive. Usually peoples don't keep any important files in C:/ but some do. So for them this method works.

Step1. Insert Windows Setup CD in CD/DVD Rom and then boot it.

Step2. Install Windows in C:/ Drive as usually Windows is installed in C:/ Drive. (Don't delete D:/ and other partitions! Or else the data will be lost!)

Step3. After Installing the fresh windows, your windows will be loaded and will be all back as before.

Method #3 :-

So let's go for method #3. First try the Method #1 and if it doesn't work then and then only go for Method #3 as it's pretty long method. So let's begin with Method #3.

Step1. Insert Windows Setup CD in CD/DVD Rom and then boot it.

Step2. Install Windows in C:/ Drive as usually Windows is installed in C:/ Drive. (Note : Don't Delete the previous Windows as the data of yours in C:/ would be lost).

Step3. After installing Windows in C:/ Drive. Now Your PC will be booted with Windows and Successfully you'll get access to your data.

Note: There will be two folders of windows in C:/ Drive. (Ex. windows.old and windows)

Step4. After taking your Backup. Format the PC and load a new windows.
